Louisiana Bike MS Ride
Hosting City: Hammond, LA/McComb, MS

End Date: October 3, 2010 at 5pm
What to Expect
Join Fellow cyclists for a 150 mile bike tour through beautiful Louisiana and Mississippi. Enjoy full support with stocked rest stops every 10-12, SAG vehicles, HAM Radio Operators, Bike Shop support, marked routes, training opportunities, and more!! Celebrate your accomplishment with an overnight celebration at Percy Quin State Park, featuring live music, fabulous Louisiana food, and awards! On Sunday October 4, when you return be prepared for another celebration to honor your hard work and dedication to the MS Society.
Hotel Accommodations
Participants staying at Percy Quin State Park must indicate that on your registration form. There will be an additional $20 fee for those participants choosing to stay at the Park. If you choose to stay at a hotel off site it is the individuals responsibility to book your room and cover the cost of the room.
Parking
Parking will be avaliable for participants at the start/finish at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA.
Luggage
Every rider will be allowed to bring 2 bags that will be transported to Percy Quin State Park and will be available upon arrival. They will then be transported back to Hammond, LA on Sunday. On event day once you receive your lugguage tags please place them on your bags and proceede to the UPS truck. Please do not pack any fragile items.
Shuttle Service
Satuday, October 2, 2010- For participants staying in a hotel in McComb and not at Percy Quin State Park there will be a shuttle service provided from Percy Quin to your hotel.
Sunday, October 3, 2010- There will be a shuttle from your hotel to the Sunday morning start at Percy Quin State Park.
***Please note that we will only be shuttling to hotels in McComb, NOT to any in surrounding areas such as Brookhaven.
SAG Vehicles
Support and gear (SAG) vehicles will be out on the route throughout Saturday and Sunday. These vehicles will be clearly marked with Bike MS signs. If you would like a lift to the next rest stop or finish line, please proceed to the next rest stop and hop on. If you are unable to make it to the next rest stop please stop in a safe location and flag down a SAG.
Please be patient while you wait, our volunteer SAG drivers do their very best to provide quick service but so become very busy throughout the day.
At each rest stop there will be a designated area for those people who would like SAG assistance. You must wait in that area or you may be left.
Bike Service
Our partner Bike Shops will be at the start, all rest stops, and at the finish each day. If you are able to make it to the next rest stop visit a bike technician there. If you are unable to ride to the next rest stop please stop in a safe location on the route and flag down a SAG.
Check-In
There will be several check-in opportunities the week BEFORE Bike MS. As the event gets closer please check back for specific dates and times. You may also check-in the morning of the event beginning at 6:30 am at Southeastern Louisiana University.
